A major waste management company wanted to explore the industrial, non-hazardous waste market in seven Midwestern states. The company asked SEA to characterize the market and determine the potential for entrance. During the course of the 3-month project, SEA identified all of the land disposal facilities currently operating in the seven state region and described the structure of the non-hazardous industrial waste program in each of the seven states.

SEA collected extensive information on the amount of non-hazardous industrial waste currently being generated in each state. The final report included a discussion of the market demand and an analysis of factors that could change it.
