HAZARDOUS WASTE RECYCLING COMMUNITY

The National Association of Chemical Recyclers (NACR) turned to EI Ltd., an SEA partner, when it needed a background document describing the capabilities of its members and their concerns with the hazardous waste management system. The main audience for the piece was legislators and legislative staffers in Washington who are involved in hazardous waste issues. Secondary audiences included state and local government officials and media representatives.

SEA relied on its extensive body of research on the hazardous waste recycling industry to produce a well-informed, yet understandable document for NACR. Understanding the key issues facing the industry enabled SEA to quickly assess the project, identify central points, describe NACR's positions and address key concerns of legislators and the public. SEA's understanding of the industry not only resulted in a strong document, but it also helped the cost-conscious organization save substantial research time, keeping overall project costs within a tight budget.
