PETROLEUM WASTE DISPOSAL

Currently serving as a RCRA/CERCLA expert in an insurance coverage case involving multiple facilities of a major petroleum refinery. Task is to determine whether the costs incurred were due to regulatory compliance, management discretion, or accidental releases from refinery waste management units, and whether company expected or intended to cause environmental contamination as a result of its practices. Case is currently pending.
