Provided expert technical support to the Department of Energy in their final evaluation of $6.9 billion Tank Waste Remediation System (TWRS) Project at the Hanford Reservation. The project was commissioned by the Secretary of Energy in preparation for the ultimate decision on this landmark procurement; the single largest procurement in the history of DOE. Tasks included: site visits, two weeks of interviews with project personnel and contractors, and the development of recommendations on restructuring of the proposed solution to identify potentially significant cost savings. This Project is now proceeding.
